The D.A. Burke story begins with brothers Matt, Daryn & Clayton and their Father, David. When the three brothers left school, they went on to complete their trade apprenticeships. During this time they learnt valuable skills not only as tradesmen but as businessmen as well. David instilled his own expertise and a strong sense of ethics, laying the foundation of what would become D.A. Burke Builders PTY LTD. Clayton is now the managing director of one of their closest partners – Designstone Pty Ltd.
Matt and Daryn worked with their father on a range of different projects. Their focus was specialised carpentry work constructing homes in the south-west and peel regions. They were based in the Mandurah region but serviced and catered to a range of industries including commercial, residential, staff housing, and Tourism in places such as Monkey Mia, Kalbarri, Cervantes and Broome to name a few.
As the business grew Daryn moved from being a carpenter to a Site Manager, whilst still lending a hand with specialised on site carpentry when needed. Daryn has now taken up the position of senior estimator and client liaison officer. Matt too branched off into a Site Manager position in the early days and when the business become more engaged, transitioned into a permanent role in their Mandurah office as a Project Manager.
D.A. Burke continues their story as a proprietary company (as of 2015) and is currently focused on new opportunities in the metro area. From humble beginnings, it is hard work and steadfast ethics that has enabled this family-owned business to grow into one of the most well respected custom homebuilders in Perth and the Peel region, designing award-winning homes. Matt and Daryn continue to use their knowledge and expertise in the industry to provide customers with an unparalleled building experience. Their commitment to customer service is more evident than ever and will continue to develop as the company grows.
